Choose the actual nozzle, not merely the process profile selected in your slicer.

Miniature settings, not machine calibration.
Layer height, visible-wall speed, walls, infill, cooling strategy, orientation, and support approach change with the model in front of you. Temperature, flow, retraction, and pressure advance change with the machine and filament.
Keeping those jobs separate makes troubleshooting much easier. Begin with a calibrated manufacturer profile, apply the generated miniature settings, slice carefully, and fix the largest visible problem first.

Before the first test.
What are the best FDM settings for 28mm and 32mm miniatures?
For a calibrated printer using PLA and a 0.2mm nozzle, a balanced first test is commonly around 0.06mm layers, restrained outer walls, two walls, modest infill, and strong cooling after the first layers. The wizard adjusts that starting point for your model and priorities.
Does the wizard work with a 0.4mm nozzle?
Yes. A 0.4mm nozzle is capable of useful tabletop miniatures and is especially practical for monsters, vehicles, and terrain. The recommendations use slightly taller layers and faster outer walls than the 0.2mm profile.
Why does the wizard not give a nozzle temperature?
Temperature, flow, retraction, and pressure advance depend on the printer, hotend, extruder, and filament. Use the calibrated manufacturer profile for your exact machine and material, then apply the miniature-specific recommendations.
Should FDM miniatures use tree supports?
Tree or organic supports are a strong starting point for most figures, but automatic supports still need inspection. Keep contacts away from faces and focal details, check unsupported islands, and test removal before filling a plate.
